~ After
recently finishing my M.S., I'm currently
a researcher working with Dr. Daniel Vimont.
~ My research
has focused on the creation of large-scale anticyclonic anomalies
through
latent heating. Specifically, I've studied the formation of
atmospheric blocking as a result of diabatic heating associated with an
upstream synoptic-scale disturbance, as well as long-lasting upper
tropospheric anticyclones associated with tropical cyclone outflow.

Personal
Information:
~ I've always been fascinated by any kind of
unusual
weather, be it thunderstorms, snowstorms, tornadoes, etc. I love
storm
chasing in the spring and summer throughout the plains. Pictures
from
my storm chase trips can be found here, and a webpage with information
and pictures from experiencing Hurricane Katrina along the Mississippi
coast can be found here.
~ I love good movies, and also play the oboe and
english horn and enjoy
orchestral music!
